AWS SAA-C02(Solution Architect) - Resources-Feb2022
Hello Friends, recently I passed my SAA-C02 exam, and this post list all the resources I utilized to pass through the exam. If you are interested in my journey for the exam please check the following post.
Resources utilized(in order):
1. Although I bought Udemy courses from Stephane Maarek and Neal Davis, I chose to start with an ~11hr course on youtube from freecodecamp. The best thing about the course was it was a good pace although it took me ~3-4 weeks to complete it fully. I was taking notes for all the important details(but I must admit they were too many) and hands-on practice wherever I can.
2. While I was trying to complete the freecodecamp video during my spare time(generally tea☕time) I started watching youtube videos.
a) AWS networking video from AWS Training center (must watch)
b) Introduction to AWS services from AWS Training center
c) Import AWS core Services from Be a Better Dev
3. After 3 weeks, I started with some free quizzes(I didn't buy💲 any paid practice test) available online. This helped me understand which areas are weak and I should focus more. However, I would advise you to practice as much as possible, apart from helping with the exam you get better at understanding the architecture.
a) Digital Cloud Training Practice exam (5 videos) on youtube
b) Cloud Guru Real exam questions playlist(14 videos) on youtube. The playlist claims to have real questions(which made me complete all the videos) however in my exam I could not appreciate the similarity. But definitely nice questions and good explanation 👍(a must-watch).
c) T3P SAA C02 exam questions (~4hrs), a good watch in my view.
d) Whizlabs practice test free was also good. I would have liked to do more but I had already spent my course budget on Udemy 😞.
4. After 4 weeks of study I started with Stephane Marek's Udemy course and followed through the hands-on. A long course but I realized that
1) he explained some concepts very well
2) there were many services that I still didn't know.
While going through the course I started taking notes(again) for the final exam. This was the second time I was writing down all the important notes(trying to be as succinct as possible, you can see the picture above).
5. Apart from this to keep me motivated I watched stories from different folks on how they passed the exam(some claimed to have cracked it in just 10 days 😉).
That's it guys, this is my recommendation.
You may have to do 2 iterations of the entire course, select different sources.
Start your practice test as early as possible, feel good when you didn't answer a question(this is the real learning 😊)
Take breaks and do prepare notes to skim through before the final exam
